Sour is a furniture company that merges art and recycled materials. We process reclaimed materials at our warehouse, collaborating with artists and volunteer engineers to craft pieces efficiently. We host monthly showcases to debut our latest creations.

CORE VALUES
Fun: Spice up your living space with one of a kind colors and shapes
Sustainable: Quality crafted pieces that will stand the test of time
Reliable: Consistently build trust through authentic and ethical products

PRIMARY LOGO
The Sour logo is geometrically crafted to resemble furniture. The "O" is meant to represent fermentation, with its bulbous and intestinal shape.
The tagline is meant to be featured with the logo. It fits justified with the "S" and the "R" of the wordmark.
COLOR PALETTE
The Sour Orange and Sour Gray are exclusively used for the logo as well as headers. While they are traditionally only used in these instances, some larger applications can use the Sour Orange color for their base.
SECONDARY COLORS
The secondary colors are used in the brand's visual layers, applications and to symbolize specific materials.
TYPOGRAPHY

The following visual layers represent the carefully chosen graphic elements used in the brand system. We have four layers that can be combined or used inter-changeably.
LAYER 1
Our first layer consists of the materials we use to make our products come to life. Imagery similar to the above serves as an excellent visual foundation for various marketing materials, including advertisements, social media posts, flyers, product manuals, and so much more. These materials not only form the essence of our furniture but also play a crucial role in enriching the brand's visual storytelling.

Here is a list of materials that Sour uses in our daily practices. Each material corresponds to a color in our color palette.
LAYER 2
Our second layer consists of fermentation illustrations. These are line drawings of microbial activity. The secondary color palette is heavily used here.
LAYER 3
Our third layer features images of people making sour faces. Each image should have a bitmap texture and be in black and white. This will contrast with the color layers set up beneath.
LAYER 4
Last, is our fourth layer: illustrated faces. These faces are meant to add playfulness to our applications. While they are shown in black, this is another layer ht can use the brand's color palette.
FACE USAGE
The Sour faces are meant to be used sparingly. Use them for small applications, such as business cards and the phone app. Do not put faces on furniture, only on models.
